Thuha Nguyen, PE, PTOE, PTP, RSP1, FITE

Thuha holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering, both from the University of Florida. With nearly 25 years of experience, she has contributed to a wide range of transportation engineering and planning projects, including transportation planning, traffic operations, safety analysis, travel demand modeling, and multi-modal planning. An active member of the ITE – A Community of Transportation Professionals, Thuha currently serves in various roles within the South Florida Section and is the International Director on the Florida Puerto Rico District board.

Thuha enjoys cheering on her daughter at soccer games, staying fit at the kickboxing gym, and pampering her beloved boxer-lab mix.

Saurabh Basnet, PE, RSP1

Saurabh holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from McNeese State University. With over five years of experience in traffic operations, safety, and transportation planning, he is a passionate and dedicated professional in the field of transportation.

Saurabh is a soccer enthusiast, actively playing with a local club in South Florida. A lifelong Manchester United fan, he also enjoys cooking exotic dishes, playing guitar, attending concerts, and exploring local restaurants.

Vamshi Meriga, PE-candidate, RSP1

Vamshi holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from BML Munjal University. With almost five years of total experience in traffic operations, transportation planning, and transit studies, he is committed to developing innovative solutions that enhance mobility and improve safety in communities.

Vamshi enjoys staying active through sports, relaxing at the beach, and capturing moments through photography.

Hemant Yadav, E.I.

Hemant holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from VIT University.

For his master’s thesis, he conducted a comparative microsimulation study on pedestrian signal control strategies. As an intern with FDOT District 7’s TSM&O office, he performed crash analysis and identified potential safety countermeasures. He also has experience in conducting traffic impact studies, traffic calming, safety evaluation, and signal warrant analyses.

Hemant enjoys traveling, staying active through sports, and capturing natural scenery through photography.

SaadHazim Mohammad, E.I.-candidate

Saad holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from GITAM University. He gained internship experience in traffic and illumination design and remains actively engaged in the transportation engineering community. During his graduate studies, Saad participated in several TexITE conferences and events and served as Treasurer of the ITE – Texas A&M University Student Chapter, demonstrating both leadership and professional involvement.

Saad enjoys watching movies, playing and following cricket, and is a passionate fan of Texas A&M Aggies football.
